The FA 101 is a general purpose accelerometer that is especially useful for measuring very low frequencies. Compared with oil damped accelerometers, the air-damped FA101 is less sensitive to temperature variations, thus providing more accurate measurements.

The sensing element is fitted with a fully temperature-compensated Wheatstone bridge comprised of high stability, micro-machined silicon strain gauges. Packaged in a rugged aluminium alloy case, the FA101 accelerometers are designed to be easy to mount.

The FA101 Series is optionally available with built-in A1/A2 amplifier modules, providing built-in internal signal conditioning. Alternatively, Celsum Technologies supplies a range of signal conditioning instruments, including the digital DCell and DSC, the analogue SGA and the radio telemetry system.

Calibration data, including frequency response, is supplied with every accelerometer (above).
