Celsum Technologies has combined the CADS optical micrometer and the CIRP Infra-Red Pyrometer, complete with a computer system with especially-written software for collecting, displaying and storing the data. The CADS transmitter and receiver elements are mounted 300 mm apart on a flat mounting plate designed especially to fit the ACER, Eta 2100, BFR 2100 and MiniCER capillary extrusion rheometers, although the system may be used with other rheometers and extruders. The bracket is provided with a mount for a photographic tripod as well as with other mounting holes. The CEST system is designed to be portable so that it may be used, for example, on extrusion lines as well as rheology equipment. An instrument case houses the conditioning and drive electronics for the optical micrometer and pyrometer, which in turn connects to the computer system. Universal voltage devices ensure that the equipment can function using mains supplies from 110V to 240V AC, with frequencies of 50 to 60 Hz. The CADS optical micrometer used in CEST uses, rather than a laser, a collimated blue-green light fan derived from a very stable LED source. This confers inherent intrinsic safety whilst giving a level of stability, resolution and repeatabilty much better than many laser micrometers. Key Specification Features:
